Today, the director of the Mauritanian Minerals Agency, Hammoud Ould Mhamed, supervised the opening of the Tamaya area, located south of Taziart, in front of gold prospectors.

The Ma’aden Agency said, in a post on its official page, that it “prepared for the opening of the Tamayah area, as it returned the old exploiters to their original sites, and for weeks it carried out reclamation operations for the southern area of ​​Tamayah, which included removing accumulated sand and removing everything that impedes drilling activities.”

The agency called on the exploiters to abide by the safety and security controls, as described in the National Prospector Safety and Security Manual.

The opening ceremonies of the region took place in accordance with the plan embodied in the decision of President Mohamed Ould Cheikh Al-Ghazwani regarding the opening of the Al-Tamayah area to the exploiters, the contents of which were agreed upon with all stakeholders and actors in the sector, according to Maaden Mauritania.
